About Options Sentiment Screener
Options Sentiment Screener follows the money in US options. All day it collects the trades that stand out from the routine flow of the market, the large, urgent and unusually sized prints, and turns them into three views: a pulse of the whole session, a live tape you can filter down to a single contract, and a board of the biggest trades of the day and the week. It runs on the web at optionssentimentscreener.com and as an app on iPhone, iPad and Android.
The idea behind it is simple. When someone commits real money to a specific strike and expiry, and pays up to get filled now, that decision says something about what they expect and when. Most of the options market is routine hedging and market making. The part that is not routine is worth reading, and it is far easier to read when it has been sorted, scored and put in front of you as it happens.
What the app tracks
Every print on the tape is a single executed options trade with its contract, size, open interest, the premium behind it, the side of the market it printed on and the sentiment that implies. Prints are scored for conviction, which combines the premium, the size relative to open interest, whether the order was swept across exchanges and how aggressively it executed, and the highest scores are tagged as Notable, High or Whale.
The Pulse sums the day: bullish against bearish premium, call and put premium, the put call ratio, the share of prints that were sweeps, the tickers with the most unusual premium and the whale of the day. The Whales board ranks the largest prints of the day and the trailing week. Every ticker has its own page with the live quote and chart, its own flow stream, analyst ratings and price targets, and a valuation and profitability snapshot.
Screeners let you save the filters you care about, from option type and sentiment to strike, expiry, same day expiries and premium minimums, and sync them to your account. On the phone, home screen widgets put the pulse, the whale board or a saved screener a glance away, and any print, ticker page or tape can be shared as a link or an image.
Where the data comes from
Options prints come from a licensed market data feed that reports each trade with its contract, size, price, the prevailing bid and ask and the execution venue. Quotes, price history, analyst actions and company fundamentals come from licensed market data providers. The methodology page explains how each figure is produced and where its limits are.
Options Sentiment Screener does not place trades and does not connect to a brokerage account. It is a research tool. What you do with the research is up to you.
Free and Realtime
The free app includes everything described above, with the flow shown twenty minutes after it prints. Realtime is a monthly subscription that removes the delay, refreshes the tape as often as every ten seconds, sends push alerts when a new print matches one of your screeners, adds FundSpec AI intel on every ticker page and removes advertising. It is purchased in the iOS and Android apps.
Who makes it
Options Sentiment Screener is designed and built by Vembar, LLC, a Connecticut company based in Milford, and launched on the App Store and Google Play in late 2024. The same team publishes FundSpec, a market research terminal for US stocks and ETFs, and Just Stock Quotes, a fast quote and watchlist app. The three share one data platform, which is why a ticker page here can show FundSpec's momentum and fair value reads.
How we write about the flow
Every figure in the app is described by what it measures. A print's sentiment is an inference from how it executed, and the app shows the execution so you can judge the inference. The conviction score is a ranking, not a prediction. A whale is a large trade, not a recommendation. If a number cannot be checked against the trade record, it does not go on the screen.
