Frequently asked questions
What is Options Sentiment Screener?
A screener for unusual options activity in the US market. It collects the options trades that stand out by size, premium and execution as they happen, scores each one for conviction, and shows them three ways: the Pulse of the session, the live Flow tape, and the Whales board of the largest prints. Every stock and ETF has its own flow page. It runs on iPhone, iPad, Android and the web.
Do I need an account?
No. The Pulse, the tape, the Whales board, ticker pages and screeners all work without signing in. Signing in with your Apple or Google identity in the mobile app syncs your saved screeners and alert settings across your devices and ties your Realtime subscription to your account rather than to one phone.
Is the data realtime?
The free app shows every print twenty minutes after it executed. Realtime removes the delay and refreshes the tape as often as every ten seconds. The Pulse, the Whales board and the ticker pages run at the same delay as the tape, so the views always agree.
What does Realtime include?
Realtime removes the twenty minute delay on every screen, refreshes as often as every ten seconds, sends push alerts when a new print matches one of your saved screeners, adds FundSpec AI intel on every ticker page and removes advertising. It is a monthly subscription purchased in the iOS and Android apps.
What makes a print unusual?
Size, premium or execution that stands out from the contract's normal activity: a trade far larger than usual, larger than the contract's open interest, carrying unusually large premium, or swept across exchanges for immediate fills. The methodology page explains each figure.
How is a print's sentiment decided?
From the option type and where the trade executed against the bid and ask. Calls bought at or above the ask read bullish, puts bought at or above the ask read bearish, trades at the midpoint or with conflicting signals read neutral. It is an inference, and the execution detail is shown on every print so you can judge it.
What is the conviction score?
A 0 to 100 score built from premium, size against open interest, sweep execution, how aggressively the trade printed and repeat flow in the same contract. Prints scoring 40 or more are Notable, 60 or more High Conviction, 80 or more Whale, and a million dollars of premium is always a Whale. It ranks prints; it does not predict.
What is the put call ratio on the Pulse?
Put premium divided by call premium across the session's tracked prints. It is weighted by money, not by contract count, so one large put trade moves it more than a thousand small ones. Above one means more premium went into puts than calls.
What does 0DTE mean?
Zero days to expiration: contracts expiring the same day. The 0DTE chip on the tape and the 0DTE week rule in the screener builder isolate that flow, which is about the next few hours rather than the next few months.
How do screeners work?
A screener is a saved set of filters: option type, trade type, sentiment, execution, tickers, strike, expiry, same day expiries, size over open interest, and minimum size and premium. Saved screeners appear as a tab on the tape, sync to your account when you are signed in, and for Realtime subscribers send a push notification when a new print matches.
Which alerts can I set?
Screener alerts: turn alerts on for any saved screener and you get a push notification when a new print matches it. Alerts are part of Realtime and require the mobile app, since push notifications are a mobile feature.
Are there home screen widgets?
Yes. Market Pulse, the Whale board and any saved screener can sit on your home screen on iPhone and Android, and a tap opens the app.
Can I share a print?
Any print, ticker page or the tape itself can be shared as a link or an image from the share button. Links open straight into the app for anyone who has it, and open the web app for anyone who does not.
Does the web app do everything the mobile apps do?
Nearly. The web app shows the same Pulse, tape, Whales board, ticker pages and screeners at the same delay. Realtime is purchased in the mobile apps, and push alerts and home screen widgets are mobile features.
Which stocks and ETFs are covered?
US listed stocks and ETFs with listed options. A ticker page exists for any of them; its flow stream shows whatever unusual prints the feed has reported for it, which for a thinly traded name may be none on a given day.
Does Options Sentiment Screener place trades?
No. It does not connect to a brokerage account and never executes an order. It shows you where the money moved; every trading decision is yours.
How do I cancel or restore Realtime?
Subscriptions bought on iOS are cancelled from your Apple ID subscription settings and on Android from Google Play. To restore a purchase on a new device, open the Realtime screen and choose Restore Purchase, or sign in to the account the subscription belongs to.
How do I delete my account?
Email privacy@vembar.io from the address on your account and ask for deletion. Your account, saved screeners and alert settings are removed and cannot be restored.
How do I report a data error?
Email support@vembar.io with the ticker, the print and the screen it appears on, or use the Feedback screen in the app. We check every report against the trade record.
Is this investment advice?
No. Options Sentiment Screener provides information for research and education. Nothing in the app or on this site is a recommendation to buy or sell any security or option.
